I just purchased a 1993 Ford f250 with the 7.3 non powerstroke. The guy I bought it from said it loses prime if sits for a while, and he was correct. He changed the glow plugs and the glow plug relay, which helped, but the fuel seems to be siphoning back into the tank overnight. The only thing he didn't do when he serviced it was the fuel filter. Other than this it runs like a dream, there is only 82,000 original miles. So the situation of extended cranking to fire has been getting steadily worse. I've been working alot and haven't had time to get into it really yet. Now I'm getting scared it may not start at all.
